The purpose of One Voice Foundation for Off-Road Recreation is to create and connect a community of outdoor enthusiasts with the intent of advocating and educating the importance of continual motorized access for present and future generations. The membership is comprised of contributors and supporters with the common goal of investing their energy, time, and resources for responsible use and play on public lands. This includes keeping public lands open for multiple uses and access, the preservation of cultural heritage and traditions passed down from previous generations.
Access to public lands is more important now than ever. Swift technological advances have changed the way we communicate, how we live, and how we recreate. The health benefits and power of connecting to the natural landscape is more significant now than ever. Many initiatives have been created to get more people outside and moving. Campaigns such as ‘Every Kid in a Park’, ‘No Child Left Inside’, and ‘Leave No Trace’ are just a few examples of encouraging participation and responsible use. These initiatives also indicate greater participation, demand, and use on public lands.
The Foundation represents a national conglomeration of outdoor enthusiasts, organizations, and industry that have a common goal of responsible use and access to our public lands. Uniting this diverse group of people will form a collective power that will keep public lands open in perpetuity. Respect of desired type of use is one of the foundational pillars of the Foundation. Everyone has the right to responsibly recreate and it’s time to bridge the gap between user groups and end categorizing these individuals based on the type of recreation they seek to do. The future is dependent on unity and forming alliances based on the desire for responsible use and access to public lands.
We are looking to collaborate on projects and programs related to outreach and educational efforts for responsible use on public and private lands.
